Viola Davis – BW/WM IRR in Eat Pray Love
The new movie “Eat Pray Love” features Viola Davis in a happy IRR (Or should I say IRM *Interracial Marriage* with a WM.
While Viola had a bit role (Yes, an oscar nominee has been relegated to the role of “best friend”) and was only featured in the first act of the movie, I still enjoyed seeing this positive pairing of an IR couple on the big screen and in such a high profile movie **Julia Roberts is starring after all**.
Arguably the film being a “chick flick”, single non-black men (most will be dragged by their gf’s and wives) may not be attending in abundance, but many BW will see the film and the more this idea/image of BW being in relationships with non-bm is spread maybe more BW will open their dating options or start to believe that non-bm are in fact very interested in BW.
